Russian Code Cup 2013

RVA Team created 3 installations for the finals of programming championship Russian Code Cup 2013.


The first installation demonstrates the animated championship logo on glass using rear projection films.


For the second one, we combined the technology of transparent LCD displays with Kinect sensor. The system recognises human silhouette and movements and output them on transparent LCD’s in liquid metal style.


For the third case, we set up an entertainment stand where everyone could play arcade games. Unusual controls were introduced where various fruit served as sensor surfaces and were used as buttons for movements and interactions in games. We also introduced an Arduino-based system of sensors which controlled light on-off switch simply by touching plants.
